Our Story
About Here Forever Farm Sanctuary
For nearly twenty years, we have been rescuing animals and caring for them entirely on our own. Recently, we became an official non-profit sanctuary so we can continue doing what we love and expand our ability to take in animals who need a safe place to land. To do that, we’re hoping to receive support from our community—the same community we’ve quietly been serving for two decades.
Our journey began about twenty years ago, when we received a call from the State about a group of abandoned farm animals left out in the dead of winter during a storm. Without hesitation, we drove several towns over and gathered every animal we found—ducks, geese and goats.
That was my first experience with goats. I didn’t know anything about caring for them at the time, but there was no way we could leave them behind. We brought them home, gave them warmth, and safety, and love… and then began the long process of learning everything we needed to know.
I fell in love with goats that day—especially with one little soul we named Miss Daisy Mae. She changed everything. Every step that has led us to where we are today began with her. We have helped so many animals over the years, and each one is a tribute to Miss Daisy Mae and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
Along the way, we provided every animal with full veterinary care, including specialists when needed, due to the many health challenges they arrived with. But I knew there had to be more we could do. That search led me into the world of homeopathy and holistic care. Today, we are proud to say that every animal at Here Forever Farm Sanctuary thrives under a balanced, homeopathic, holistic approach to health and healing.
Our mission is simple:
To provide lifelong safety, compassion, and care to animals in need—and to honor the legacy of the goat who started it all… Miss Daisy Mae.
